DM News will produce a special guide on e-mail marketing that will be included with the Oct. 17 issue and will coincide with that week’s DMA:05 annual show in Atlanta.
Called DM News’ Essential Guide to E-Mail Marketing, the magazine-sized supplement will offer how-to tips, research and case studies from e-mail industry experts. Each article will include advice on how to retain and acquire customers using this successful online marketing vehicle. Mickey Alam Khan will edit the commissioned pieces. Extra issues will be distributed at the DMA show and at Ad:tech New York on Nov. 7-9.
The e-mail marketing guide will be modeled after DM News’ Direct Marketer’s Essential Guide to Search Engine Marketing, published July 25 and available in PDF format at //www.dmnews.com/pdffiles/semguide.pdf. The guides are designed to have a long shelf life.
Both beginners and established practitioners of e-mail will benefit from the insight aggregated in the e-mail marketing guide. E-mail today is to customer retention what search engine marketing is to customer acquisition. Both topics are actively covered in DM News’ print and online editions.
Once published, the e-mail guide also will be available at www.dmnews.com as a PDF file. Articles from the guide also will be included in DM News’ daily and weekly e-mail marketing online newsletters.
