Mickey Alam Khan and John Ervin have been promoted to the positions of executive editor and managing editor, respectively.
In announcing the promotions, editor in chief Tad Clarke said, “Mickey knows just about every aspect of the DM and interactive business inside and out, while John is one of the best editors I've run across. These are two of the most deserving promotions I've ever seen.”
Alam Khan, who has been with DM News since 1999, covers Internet marketing, circulation as well as agency news. He also handles many of the supplements and special sections, including the upcoming Web Analytics report and E-Mail Marketing supplement.
“Mickey has done a wonderful job with the previous supplements, especially the Direct Marketer's Essential Guide to Search Engine Marketing, which is in this week's edition. I look forward to working with him and John on future ones, too,” Clarke said.
Before joining DM News, Alam Khan was a correspondent for Advertising Age from 1993 to 1998. Ervin, who joined DM News in 2000, spent 10 years working for the Journal News in White Plains, NY.
