DjVu WorkGroup Gets Documents Online

LizardTech, Seattle, has introduced software that lets marketers scan catalogs for archiving or placement on the Web.

Called DjVu WorkGroup, the software converts documents into files through a drag-and-drop interface. In addition to catalogs, the software works as an online documentation system for books, magazines, newspapers and legal contracts.

The software offers up to nine folders for document encoding. This feature allows users to monitor numerous file conversions simultaneously with user-specified encoding profiles. DjVu also can convert multiple-page or single-page documents while preserving the original document for printing purposes.

DjVu will be targeted at several medium-sized and large firms looking to bring content online. The software starts at $5,000.
