Direct Marketing Day Foundation Distributes $124K in Grants

The Direct Marketing Day Foundation has awarded more than $124,000 in grants to regional colleges and universities for the current year, the foundation said yesterday.

Twenty grants were given out in four categories: student scholarships, student attended seminar programs, a direct marketing resource center and school libraries.

“Investing in the education and training of the next generation of direct and interactive marketers is essential for the growth of our industry,” founder/chairman Lee Epstein said in a statement.

The foundation provides funding directly to educators for resources and scholarships to introduce and drive careers in direct marketing. It also sponsors lectures, internships and seminars and conducts programs by industry leaders.
