Direct Focus Sees Sales Increase 230%

Direct Focus Inc., Vancouver, WA, last week reported that sales for its second quarter ended June 30 reached $12.2 million, an increase of 230 percent over the same period a year ago.

Sales increased 253 percent, to $23.3 million, for the six months ended June 30 for the direct marketing company, which supplies fitness and health-related products.

“The second quarter marked the sixth consecutive quarter of record sales growth,” said Brian Cook, president and CEO of Direct Focus.

Direct Focus markets its Bowflex home-fitness equipment via advertising on national cable TV networks, printed media, the Internet and through certified personal trainers. It expects to release full financial information for the second quarter next week.
