DigeCard Mailer Draws Show Attendees to Jerome Group

ATLANTA — Jerome Group received 125 leads at the DMA·05show thanks to a four-color mailing it sent to a list of attendees before the show, the St. Louis company said.

Jerome Group, a direct marketing and digital printing company, included a personalized DigeCard in the folded self-mailer. A DigeCard is a plastic card that can have full-color variable imaging on both sides. It is used regularly in membership, loyalty and traffic building programs, and it can include any number of logos, images and co-branding elements. Jerome mailed 1,850 pieces.

The mailer promoted Jerome Group's services including print, personalization and lettershop, analytics and modeling, and on-demand digital production. It also promoted the company's Brand-On-Demand Web-based system built to deliver marketing programs at the national level, and DocuCentix, which manages, produces, distributes, tracks, archives and retrieves complex member materials for mailers. The mailer also promoted DigeCards.

The mailer told recipients to bring the card to Jerome Group's booth at the Direct Marketing Association show for a chance to enter a drawing for a free iPOD Mini. The card was personalized with the recipient's name and company affiliation on the front and a unique ID number on the back. The winner will be notified after the show.

The mailer also said that everyone who drops their card off at the booth gets a free after-the-show gift. This will be a DigeCard bag tag, said Mike Wegmann, senior vice president, Jerome Group.

“We've had a lot of interest in the product at the show, and we believe it is because of the mailer we sent out,” he said. “A lot of people came to our booth with it, and wanted to learn more about it. It really stood out.”
