Selekt Mail, a joint venture between Deutsche Post World Net and Dutch company Wegener, won a contract from the Netherlands' largest mail-order group, the Neckermann Group Netherlands.
Selekt Mail was named Neckermann's exclusive partner for delivery of catalogs and direct mail in Holland. Deutsche Post said this marks a further consolidation of its market position in the Netherlands.
Neckermann chose Selekt Mail after a test phase that included other competitors. The contract runs three years and includes the collection, sorting and delivery of catalogs and direct mail. The volume of catalog shipments alone is expected to total at least 50 million items per year.
