Demandbase, a lead generation company, announced June 8 that it has partnered with LivePerson to debut a new software application that integrates LivePerson’s live chat platform with Demandbase’s Real-Time ID business identification technology. Last month, Demandbase launched its Real-Time ID platform, which identifies and provides information about business persons before they visit a website.
According to Demandbase’s Chief Marketing Officer Greg Ott, this new combined application was created for b-to-b marketers looking to increase customer engagement with visitors to their site.
“Online chat has become an effective tool for some b-to-b marketers,” he said. He added that this combined “intelligence can do what marketers intend to do even better, which includes CRM, analytics, marketing automation and ad targeting.”
Originally a customer of LivePerson, Demandbase chose to partner with the online technology provider because “we were impressed with what their product delivers,” added Ott. “The new application platform they built is very versatile and robust, so it’s easy to use. It was a perfect use of the real-time nature of the data we can provide.”
Nevertheless, Ott said the new application doesn’t rule out partnerships with other companies. “We will be continuing to integrate our Real-Time ID service into other partner products,” explained Ott.
