Delivered: Post-Hurricane Sandy emails

What’s in our mailbox this month: Post-Hurricane Sandy emails

There is a right way and a wrong way to target emails, and American Apparel‘s insensitive Hurricane Sandy Sale email didn’t go over well—outrage spread on the Twittersphere.

Time Warner Cable‘s welcomed Storm Update email reassures its customers that the cable, Internet, and phone service provider is working to ensure or restore interrupted service.

Restaurant owners and workers are hit hard when forced to close their doors. OpenTable encourages diners to support local restaurants by listing those open during hurricane recovery.

TrueBlue members can earn six points for every $1 donated to the Red Cross, and JetBlue will match up to $50,000 in customer donations to support communities affected by Sandy.

Check out what else has been hitting our mailboxes: b-to-b direct mailers; 6-by-9-inch direct mail; targeted consumer emails; children’s e-commerce emails; and outdoor furniture/entertaining; automobiles; tourism emails.
