DataSage Adds My-Meals.com to Client List

Web software company DataSage Inc., Reading, MA, this week signed on new meal-planning site My-Meals.com, an arm of coin-counting machine maker Coinstar Inc., as a client for its netCustomer product that analyzes and measures consumer transactions and clicking behavior.

Using DataSage’s product, supermarket retailers allied with My-Meals.com, Bellevue, WA, will be able to deliver brand and recipe recommendations tailored to the requirements of visitors to the Web site.

Visitors to My-Meals.com can plan a meal, customize a shopping list and receive tailored product offers for redemption at participating grocery stores and supermarkets using Coinstar’s in-store Shopper kiosk, which prints out shopping lists created at the Web site.

“The supermarket partner can create a closer link to its customers through the Web by using netCustomer’s meal planning and grocery list management capability,” said a DataSage spokeswoman. “Over time, DataSage will be tracking the customer’s behavior on the site and better understand the recipes and products he would tend to choose. NetCustomer will then suggest a likely recipe or brand to the customer.”

DataSage also counts Amazon.com, Sears, Roebuck & Co., Outpost.com, Stop&Shop and Bradlees as customers for its netCustomer offering.
