In a move that will create a formidable player in the social analytics space, New York based social management platform Sprinklr will acquire Austin-based analytics firm Dachis Group.
Sprinklr CEO Ragy Thomas will take over as CEO of both companies as Dachis Group gets fully integrated into Sprinklr’s offerings, while Jeff Dachis, founder and CEO of Dachis group will remain on as chief evangelist and chief adviser. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
The acquisition gives Sprinklr a much needed growth spurt as it takes on bigger social management platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle. With Dachis Groups’ sturdy offerings in real-time analytics, employee advocacy and content marketing, Sprinklr will be able to offer a much more attractive range of services in its marketing hub.
“Most people think of Dachis Group as social analytics but the company has built a brand analytics infrastructure,” said Sprinklr founder and CEO Ragy Thomas. “What’s attractive for us is we can now take outside brand analytics and plug them into Sprinklr’s existing technology. That’s what makes it really valuable for clients and partners.”
In a blog post, Dachis was upbeat about the acquisition, praising Sprinklr and maintaining that his company’s vision wouldn’t change..

He also said the company’s current customers would not experience any disruption in service.
