Online risk monitoring firm Cyveillance debuts a new behavioral analysis feature for its Cyveillance Anti-Phishing platform.
The new feature allows Cyveillance to measure a Web site by the way it is encoded to see if it is a possible threat to visitors. This code is then measured based on whether the site is configured to support pop-up windows, URL obfuscation, encrypted content, client-side re-directs and phishing-related text hidden in images.
The Federal Trade Commission reports that identity theft affects more than 10 million people every year.
The new service was introduced to tackle the increase in phishers and spammers.
