Cyberian Outpost Beefs Up Presence With USAToday.com

Cyberian Outpost Inc. expanded its marketing relationship with USAToday.com, the Internet arm of the national newspaper, to increase its presence on the site and gain exclusivity as the site's software reseller.

Cyberian, Kent, CT, which sells computer hardware, peripherals and software through its Web site, www.outpost.com, would not disclose the terms of the one-year agreement, which is an extension of the company's 5-month-old contract to be the exclusive hardware reseller featured at www.usatoday.com.

“The original hardware agreement was effective in driving traffic and referrals to our site, so expanding this fruitful relationship to include software was a natural step,” said Darryl Peck, president/CEO of Cyberian.

As part of the new agreement, Cyberian also will receive links in the Tech Reviews and Game Zones sections of www.usatoday.com and will have an increased presence on the Web newspaper's homepage and Computer Marketplace section. In addition, Cyberian will place additional banner and text links in the Corner Stores section of the Money, Life and Sports pages of the USA Today site.
