I had the opportunity to sit in on a couple of roundtable discussions at the DMNews Creative Jam Thursday. The Jam, a first, was a prelude to the annual John Caples International Awards taking place later that night.
The roundtables, led by agency execs as well as key creative leaders, had tables buzzing, brainstorming ideas and solutions on a range of DM issues, such as risk, new media, ethics and innovative designs. In the innovative design roundtable, participants discussed how to push the envelope, so to speak, even when it’s a No. 10, whether it’s using color, typeface or material.
In between, Factory Interactive CEO and CD Jason Inasi shared his thoughts on the strategizing behind his company’s creative “Germville” campaign for client Coverall Health, which has won digital agency accolades. Full Caples Award results will be posted March 20 at www.dmnews.com.
