Cosmopolitan Launches First 13th Issue

Hearst Magazines' Cosmopolitan launched its first 13th issue of the year Aug. 3.

Called Cosmopolitan Style, the special issue has articles typical of the young women's magazine, including fashion, beauty and celebrity content. It hit newsstands just in time for the fall season.

“We created Cosmopolitan Style in response to our readers' constant demands for more of the signature Cosmopolitan editorial about fashion, glamour and today's hottest stars that they love,” Kate White, Cosmopolitan's editor-in-chief, said in a statement.

Content in Cosmopolitan Style includes fall fashions, shopping checklists, makeup tips, home decorating advice, celebrity-style secrets, an interview with Giorgio Armani and a fashion profile of Carolyn Kepchner, the Trump employee who appeared on “The Apprentice” television show.

Available on newsstands through October, the 140-page issue will be sent to 1 million Cosmopolitan subscribers. The overall rate base is 1.5 million, and the cover price is $3.99.

Cosmopolitan, the leading young women's title, has more than 50 editions worldwide. The U.S. version averages newsstand sales of more than 2 million copies per issue.
