Constant Contact launches iPhone app for e-mail marketing

Constant Contact, an e-mail and digital marketing firm, released QuickView, an iPhone application for marketers to manage e-mail campaigns via mobile device, on November 3.

Marketers can use the app to access contact lists and view campaigns and reports on the iPhone. The firm created the platform in response to customer demand.

“We had customers saying, ‘Help me manage my marketing campaigns when I am out and away from my office, and give me an easy way to add a new contact to my list when I am out at a conference,’” said Len Bruskiewitz, senior director of partner programs at Constant Contact.

The app’s purpose is to build loyalty and retention with existing clients, said Bruskiewitz.

“More and more of our customers are moving to mobile technology, and this really helps them stay in touch with their marketing programs,” he explained.

The Constant Contact app is only available for the iPhone. Bruskiewitz said there are no plans for expanding the tool to other mobile devices, although the firm will monitor what devices its customers – small and medium-size businesses – are using.

ExactTarget, a Constant Contact rival, launched a similar e-mail marketing iPhone app in May. Emailvision also recently launched an iPhone app.
