Condé Nast Media Group yesterday announced the appointment of Rob Silverstone as senior vice president.
Silverstone will oversee the media services department of Condé Nast corporate sales while continuing to run advertising services. He also will have a major role in the group's planning and financial management.
Condé Nast Media Group, New York, covers Condé Nast Publications, Fairchild Publications, CondéNet, Parade and The Golf Digest Cos. Silverstone is a 15-year veteran of Condé Nast.
He joined The New Yorker weekly magazine in 1989 as assistant manager for finance and administration. A promotion to vice president and business manager followed in 1994. He was named vice president of advertising services for all Condé Nast Publications titles in 1999 and promoted two years later to senior vice president.
Prior to Condé Nast, Silverstone held financial and planning positions at Dow Jones & Co., HBO and National Westminster Bank USA.
