Compaq, Houston, yesterday unveiled the Presario EZ2000 Series, its next-generation, “easy-to-use” Internet PC. The system has a retro design and includes one-touch Internet access along with Intel, Celeron and Pentium III processors. It will be available later is month.
The new Presario includes CD-RW drive along with the RioPort Audio Manager software and MGI Videoware III software. Other features include a new Digital Dashboard. According to Compaq, the system provides feedback to the consumer similar to the ways of a car dashboard. It comes in two models: the Presario EZ2200, which is available at retail stores, and the Presario EZ2700, which is available through the Compaq “Built For You” kiosks at retail locations and direct from Compaq.
