CommonHealth has partnered with fellow WPP Group PLC agency Shire Hall Group, London, to start a new healthcare public relations company.
Called Shire Hall, the joint venture will offer media relations, pre- and post-launch marketing communications and professional and advocacy relations in the United States and overseas.
The new shop aims to introduce Shire Hall's medical-education communication model to the United States. Though healthcare promotions are local in nature, medical education and PR work across borders, hence the birth of Shire Hall.
Based in Parsippany, NJ, home to CommonHealth, Shire Hall hopes to leverage its parents' relationships with marketers worldwide.
CommonHealth has partnerships with CIA Medianetwork, Pedagogue Solutions, SoftWatch and Medical Broadcasting Co. Shire Hall has clients such as Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Wyeth Laboratories, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Schering-Plough.
