Commerce Planet to acquire Iventa

In a move intended to accelerate its expansion into the business-to-business sector, on-demand software provider Commerce Planet has agreed to acquire Iventa Corporation.

Iventa, Los Angeles, is the developer of the Dashboard System, a SaaS e-commerce system utilized by small- and medium-size businesses up to Fortune 500 companies. Commerce Planet will be able to market the high-end product to existing clientele, allowing it to compete with companies such as Imergent Inc. and Website Pro Inc.

Iventa founder and chief architect Jamison Stafford will be joining Commerce Planet. In addition, the acquisition will bring with it Iventa’s 24-hour, 30-person programming team in the US and India.

“The acquisition of Iventa offers our company rapid BTB market penetration, complementary technology up-sell opportunities to our existing customer base and enhanced development and integration capabilities,” said Michael Hill, CEO of Commerce Planet, in a statement.

Commerce Planet, Goleta, CA, offers an Internet turn key solution, including membership loyalty programs, direct response consumer marketing, affiliate list management, e-mail deployment, live chat software-based services and direct phone sales.
