CNET launches affiliate program

CNET has launched an affiliate program enabling members the ability to offer tech content from CNET on their Web sites and to earn commissions through referral traffic.

“We’ve received many requests by Web sites and bloggers who wanted to expand their consumer electronics coverage,” said Wendy Dittamore, senior manager of strategic partnerships at CNET, about the new program, in a statement. She added that the program will enable CNET to expand its reach.

Content site owners will be provided a variety of buttons, text links and banners, to help users find the right products for them. Members will be able to provide visitors to their Web sites with access to expert advice and product recommendations and reviews of the latest consumer electronics, including cameras and camcorders, cell phones and smartphones, desktops, gaming gear, GPS, home theater, laptops, TVs, MP3 players and portable video players.

Partnering with Think Partnership Inc., CNET will use the KowaBunga! MYAP v9 affiliate tracking and management technology to manage affiliate sign-ups, provide marketing collateral and track affiliate sales through payment with reporting software to manage monthly affiliate commission payments.
