Who it is: Bob Kraut, appointed Papa John’s SVP-CMO

What’s his role: Kraut will lead Papa John’s in gaining market share.

Where was he prior: Previously, Kraut was SVP for brand marketing and advertising at Arby’s.

Why was he appointed: “Bob has significant industry experience and has proven himself a progressive marketing executive,” says President and COO, Russ Klein.

Who it is: John Zanzarella, appointed CMO at Silverback Social, a social media agency 

What’s his role: To help scale the business both in the United States and abroad. 

Where was he prior: Zanzarella most was the Northeast regional marketing manager at Jackson Lewis, a labor and employment law firm.  

Why was he appointed: ““Having John Zanzarella join our team is a pivotal moment for our organization,” says CEO Chris Dessi.

Who it is: Ruth Papizan, appointed CMO of H.D. Vest, a broker-dealer

What’s her role: Papizan will oversee H.D. Vest’s advisor recruiting and marketing communications activities.  

Where was she prior: She previously served as VP and CMO for LPL Financial.  

Why was she appointed:  “We are very pleased and honored to welcome Ruth to our extraordinary management team at H.D. Vest,” says Roger Ochs, CEO.  

Who it is: Paul Muehlmann, appointed CMO of MonaVie, a marketer of nutrition products 

What’s his role: Muehlmann will lead marketing and branding initiatives.  

Where was he prior: Previously, Muehlmann worked in the direct selling industry, specializing in global brand development and new product design.  

Why was he appointed: “The reason we chose Paul –and what set him apart from other candidates – is his passion,” says CEO Mauricio Bellora.

Who it is: Steven Glapa, appointed CMO of AirTight, a provider of Wi-Fi solutions

What’s his role: Glapa will be responsible for the global structure, strategy, and execution of all of AirTight’s marketing efforts, focusing on enhancing the company’s market presence.  

Where was he prior: Previously, Glapa held senior management roles at Ruckus Wireless. Before that, he led marketing efforts for companies including Booz & Co. and Lucent.   

Why was he appointed: “Steven’s experience driving rapid growth for Ruckus in the last wave of Wi-Fi is a perfect fit with our needs in marketing leadership,” says President and CEO David King.

Who it is: Erin Nelson, appointed executive VP and CMO of SunPower, a solar technology company  

What’s her role: Nelson will drive the company’s global brand and marketing strategies.  

Where was she prior: Previously, Nelson served as CMO of Dell and Bazaarvoice.  

Why was she appointed: “Her depth of knowledge in marketing, sales, e-commerce, and social engagement will be a tremendous benefit,” says President and CEO Tom Werner.
