CMOs on the Move: May 21, 2013

Who it is: Sean Dee, appointed CMO and EVP of Outrigger, a hospitality company.

What’s his role: He is responsible for directing global marketing and brand strategies and to address market-specific needs for the company’s Hawaii and Asia-Pacific regions .

Where was he prior: Dee was most recently President of Global Branding for Anschutz Entertainment Group. He previously served as CMO for Hard Rock International.

Why was he appointed: “Sean has an impressive background in all aspects of marketing and sales, including brand creation and management,” says Outrigger President and CEO David Carey.

Who it is: Helle Huxley, named CMO of Aquilent, a provider of web solutions to federal agencies.

What’s her role: Huxley will oversee marketing efforts driven by new federal guidelines governing digital and cloud-based strategies. She will also direct new corporate initiatives in the area of customer communications.

Where was she prior: She was most recently VP of Marketing for Management Concepts. Before that, she served in the same role at FedSources (now Deltek’s GovWin).

Why was she appointed: “Ms. Huxley’s unique combination of federal practice experience and creative thinking will further solidify Aquilent as an industry leader in federal cloud computing and digital communications,” says Aquilent CEO David Fout.

Who it is: Giles House, promoted to CMO and SVP of CallidusCloud, a cloud software provider

What’s his role: He will be responsible for all marketing activities for the company.

Where was he prior: House was most recently CalllidusCloud’s VP of marketing communications and products in North America. He previously held positions at SAP, Active Risk, and Maxima

Why was he appointed: “Giles’ track record in selling and marketing software contributed to pipeline growth of 95% in 2012 and record attendance at 2013’s C3, our annual customer conference,” says CallidusCloud President and CEO Leslie Stretch.

Who it is: Sheila Reed, named SVP and CMO of ASPire Financial Services, a provider of retirement plans

What’s her role: Reed will be responsible for managing the overall strategy and direction for product development and packaging, brand, marketing, and communications efforts.

Where was she prior: Reed arrives at ASPire from worker’s compensation provider PMSI, where she was VP of marketing. Previously, she served in marketing roles at KPMG and BearingPoint.

Why was she appointed: “Shelia’s experience in leading highly complex and diverse initiatives that drive tangible results will serve us well,” says ASPire President and CEO Pete Kirtland.

Who it is: Isaiah Henry, appointed CMO of Professional Community Management (PCM) of California, a management company for homeowner associations

What’s his role: He is charged with developing and executing the PCM’s strategic marketing platform, identifying new markets, and cultivating new strategic partnerships.

Where was he prior: Henry was most recently VP of business development at The Merit Companies.

Why was he appointed: “Isaiah’s unique ability to apply branding concept to relationship-building that will be the game changer for us,” says PCM CEO Donny Disbro.
