Communications software and service provider Cision has acquired media intelligence and data insight specialist Gorkana Group.
This announcement follows Cision’s combination last week with Vocus, along with its acquisition of Visible Technologies in September.
Gorkana will retain its brand, and all customers will continue to have access to the My Gorkana portal and services.
CEO Jeremy Thompson will join the Cision executive management team as EMEA MD. Thompson’s management team will also join Cision, but will continue to be based in Gorkana’s London headquarters.
“Gorkana is very strong in the enterprise space around media intelligence and insights and analysis services, as well as its premium database on the international market in London,” said Granat. “This makes Gorkana a great addition to the Cision portfolio, as it will help us expand quickly as we look at other international markets and build out a suite of tools around the PR space.”
