Data broker ChoicePoint said July 13 it bought certain assets of ePolicy Inc., including its ePolicy Solutions RightRisk product line.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the Alpharetta, GA-based company said the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its financial results or to be dilutive to earnings.
ePolicy provides a set of administration solutions for commercial insurance carriers, all of which are adaptable and configurable to customer platform requirements. Its products are designed to improve “time to market” for new products and improve business agility.
ePolicy’s products will be offered within ChoicePoint’s Insurance Decisions suite of business process improvement products and services for property and casualty insurance sold through the company’s Insurity division. Insurance Decisions incorporates processing applications onto one web service platform, which provides decision support in the insurance value chain for policy, claims and reporting decisions.
The acquisition is in keeping with the info-broker’s strategy of buying smaller firms to broaden its product offerings to government and business clients.
