Chick-fil-A Promotes Sandwich With Direct Mail

Chick-fil-A Inc., Atlanta, said yesterday that it has begun a summer promotion including direct mail centered upon its original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich to try to attract new customers.

A full-page ad appears nationwide in Parade magazine July 13. It features one of Chick-fil-A's popular “Eat Mor Chikin” Cows donning summer vacation attire and a sandwich board urging customers to “Take A Vacashun Frum Beef.”

The ad includes coupons redeemable for a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich (with purchase of a large Coca-Cola) and a complimentary Kids Meal with purchase of a Chick-fil-A Combo Meal.

The promotion also is being supported by in-store point-of-purchase materials, market billboards, targeted direct mail and various local store marketing.

Chick-fil-A, the nation's third-largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain, has more than 1,090 restaurants in 36 states and Washington, DC.
