Permission-based e-mail marketer CheetahMail is teaming up with TMXinteractive to offer streaming multimedia content directly in the body of e-mail messages.
The companies announced yesterday that they entered into a strategic alliance to make their respective technologies and services available to each other's clients.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
TMXinteractive, Conshohocken, PA, integrates fully animated content and audio into the body of an e-mail that play when the message is opened. The messages can provide marketers with real-time tracking and ROI reporting, the company said.
“Their ability to embed Flash technology directly into an e-mail has [proved] to be more compelling than traditional text or HTML static messaging,” said Dave Hendricks, executive vice president of sales and marketing at CheetahMail, New York.
