CDC Software acquires e-mail marketing solution

CDC Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based CDC Corp., has acquired Syndmail, an e-mail marketing and communication solution, from Red Clay Consulting. Syndmail was built using the Pivotal CRM tool set.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Atlanta-based CDC Software’s product suite includes Pivotal CRM and Saratoga CRM, c360 CRM add-on products, industry solutions and development tools for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, Ross Enterprise, MVI real-time performance management, IMI warehouse management and order management, Platinum HRM and business analytics solutions.

Syndmail is now seamlessly integrated with Pivotal CRM and is able to execute simple and targeted e-mail campaigns with their Pivotal CRM solution.

Features include Web-based customer preferences and opt-in/out administration; response tracking including read, click-through and bounce backs; a bounce-back engine to monitor and report bad e-mails; and analysis and reporting on customer responses and interaction.

Approximately 25 customers in North America are using Syndmail with their Pivotal CRM systems.

Customers looking for a solution to manage more complex, multichannel enterprise marketing campaigns can utilize CDC MarketFirst, an adaptive marketing automation and lead management solution that is sold as a stand-alone solution. It is also fully integrated with Pivotal CRM.
