Catholic Relief Services Taps Epsilon

Direct marketing agency Epsilon, Burlington, MA, was selected recently as the agency of record for Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Baltimore, and will focus on helping CRS with its acquisition program. This raises the number of nonprofit groups working with Epsilon's fundraising and membership services group to 40.

Epsilon will assist CRS in doing more than 8 million mailings to prospective members over the next year. According to Epsilon, those mailings will be broken into six different campaigns. The 55-year-old nonprofit group is the official overseas relief and development agency of the U.S. Catholic community and works in more than 80 countries helping the poor and disadvantaged.

In addition to the acquisition program, Epsilon will make recommendations to CRS on strategy and will be doing the creative production, creative design and letter production. Epsilon will also be in charge of back-end results and reporting.

“We are delighted to add Catholic Relief Services to our client roster,” said Phyllis Freedman, senior vice president and general manager of the fundraising and membership services group. “The addition of CRS helps build on our market knowledge and will enable us to forge new strategic and creative initiatives to support their direct marketing goals.”
