Catalina Marketing Corp. will sell its card and data-entry services business to Capture Resource Inc., the St. Petersburg, FL, company said last week.
Capture Resource, Bristol, PA, provides data capture, transaction-based processing and business process outsourcing. Through a previous relationship with Catalina, the firm already provided 99 percent of data-entry services for Catalina.
Capture Resource will acquire Catalina's card and data-entry services business, employees and facility in Farmingdale, NJ. Catalina said the sale of this unit falls in line with its plan to focus on proprietary applications at the point of sale.
Further details on terms of the deal were not disclosed.
