Catalina Marketing Corp., St. Petersburg, FL, a provider of network marketing programs to more than 150 consumer goods companies, and ACNielsen U.S., Schaumburg, IL, have announced the release of a new jointly developed product called Shopper*Direct. It is a series of offerings designed to integrate the worlds of advanced statistical modeling data gathering, analysis and promotional execution.
Shopper*Direct will link information from frequent shopper databases with data from ACNielsen's Homescan Consumer Panel, which includes purchase information from all channels, including drug stores, mass merchandisers and warehouse clubs. Shopper*Direct will give retailers the ability to improve understanding of their customers. The program is set to begin as a pilot program with a national rollout scheduled for late this year.
