Catalina Marketing Strikes Deal With Japanese Grocery Chain

Catalina Marketing Japan reached an agreement with Japanese supermarket company Ito Yokado Co. yesterday to install its marketing network in several of Yokado's stores.

The marketing network includes Catalina’s Regi coupon system, loyalty marketing programs and direct marketing strategies. Ito Yokado plans to use the network to enhance its point card program, which began this year.

Catalina Marketing Japan, a division of Catalina Marketing Corp, St. Petersburg, FL, will install the program at Ito Yokado’s Kami Itabashi, Higashi Matsuyama and Koigakubo stores. If successful, the program will expand to 179 other Ito Yokado stores.
