Alternative online payment methods keep looking less “alternative” all the time thanks to their growing popularity and adoption of bells and whistles usually only offered by high-fee credit cards.
Starting today, eBillme, which lets consumers and small businesses shop through their online checking or savings account, will give consumers the chance to sign up to receive 1% cash back for every purchase made using eBillme for checkout at any of the over 800 online merchant sites offering this payment option. Once $10 in rewards has been earned, the cash can be redeemed on eBillme sites. All consumers are eligible for the eBillme Rewards Program.
“We want to reward shoppers who pay with cash by offering the perks of shopping online with a credit card but without the interest fees and debt,” said Marwan Forzley, president and CEO of eBillme, in a statement.
