CareerBuilder Uses Ask Jeeves

Recruitment site CareerBuilder.com breaks an online animated campaign today on Ask Jeeves Web Properties' Ask.com, the Internet's second-most-popular search engine after Google.

The six-second animated advertisement on Ask.com's home page is timed to play from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET), when most job seekers surf the search engine for leads. It runs through Sept. 19.

Ask Jeeves, Emeryville, CA, claims job-related queries are among the top searches on its site.

CareerBuilder, Chicago, in partnership with newspaper publishers Chicago Tribune Co. and Knight-Ridder Inc., lists more than 400,000 job postings from 25,000 employers nationwide.

The animated ad marks the third time in two years CareerBuilder has advertised on Ask Jeeves. The site previously used Ask Jeeves' Branded Response and Premier Listings ad units. The last campaign garnered nearly 8 million impressions for CareerBuilder.
