Cardiology Imaging Market Gets Tech Boost

Cedara Software, Toronto introduced last week a new medical imaging workstation for cardiologists in association with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

According to the company, the new technology allows healthcare institutions to provide their cardiology professionals with more flexible imaging workstations that can take advantage of multiple operating formats and modalities in one location including angiography, cardiac ultrasound and MRI. According to Dr. Osman Ratib, MD, Ph.D., professor and vice chair of the department of radiology at Sciences as UCLA, the new technology can make the work of radiologist and clinicians faster and more efficient.

At Cedara Software, Wido Menhardt, general manager of cardiology said the project with UCLA would put the company “at the forefront of applied research in one of the healthcare world’s largest, most demanding imaging markets.”
