At last week’s Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, the Direct Lions Grand Prix was awarded to Mumbai’s JWT India, for the Times of India entry. The campaign Web site registered more than 1.3 million hits and more than 1 million YouTube downloads. Seven gold, 13 silver and 17 bronze trophies were given, from a total of 1,697 entries, of which 183 were shortlisted. The direct agency of the year was Madrid’s Shackleton. Interactive agency of the year was given to London’s Lean Mean Fighting Machine.
