Internet retailer and portal site Buycomp.com, Las Vegas, launched a new Internet store, Buy.com (www.buy.com), that will serve as a portal to six new specialty stores.
The stores are Buycomp.com, computer hardware retailer; Buysoft.com, software retailer offering more than 10,000 business and personal software titles; Buybooks.com, offers current best sellers and new releases as well as reviews; Buyvideos.com, has more than 85,000 titles available and offers DVD movies and DVD players as well as VHS cassettes; Buygames.com, offers 10,000 games and accessories, tips and tricks and game systems including Sony PlayStation and Nintendo; and Buymusic.com (set to go online in early 1999) offers music CDs from categories such as top 40, classical, R&B and country.
