The WorldWide Retail Exchange announced a strategic alliance yesterday with NextLinx Corp., a provider of global trade content and management solutions, in which NextLinx will provide content for WWRE's WorldWide Trade Logistics suite.
WWRE, Alexandria, VA, is a business-to-business exchange for retailers and suppliers. WWRE said Trade Logistics, which consists of two products called Global Trade Compliance and Landed Cost Analyzer, not only addresses trade compliance, logistics cost estimation and analysis, but automates global supply chain trade logistics operations in one location.
NextLinx's content for the Trade Logistics software is designed to allow WWRE members to determine compliance with government regulations, including required forms and licenses before a product ships. Members also will be able to calculate the cost of delivered products, including custom duties, taxes and other government charges.
WWRE has 61 members, 58 retailers and 3 suppliers.
