Brighton Agency Acquires InBox

Brighton Agency Inc., Webster Groves, MO, said yesterday that it acquired InBox E-mail Marketing LLC. The new company, Brighton InBox LLC, will become an independent branch of Brighton's Digital Marketing division and will be headed by Mark Green, vice president of digital marketing.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With more than $30 million in billings, Brighton Agency's clients include BASF, Charter Communications, Elanco, Elsevier and University of Missouri St. Louis. It also has a retail subsidiary called Brighton Jordan, serving Dairy Queen, Suntrup Automotive and Southwest Hearing Centers. InBox partners Chris Kiersch, Michael Worobec and Ray Burrows will move into Brighton's headquarters.

InBox, the largest e-mail marketing company in St. Louis, specialized in strategic planning and implementation of direct response and permission-based e-mail initiatives. Clients included The May Company, The Melting Pot, Grand Center, The Contemporary Art Museum, DMI and World-Wide Technology.

“InBox was one of the fastest-growing firms in its category,” Green said. “Its width of e-mail marketing expertise will complement and elevate our existing e-mail services [and] ultimately increase the ROI of our clients.”

With InBox, Brighton Digital Marketing will have a combined $2.5 million in gross billings this year.
