Bride’s magazine and WeddingChannel.com said yesterday that they entered into a long-term, multichannel relationship.
Advance Publications Inc., the parent company of Bride’s publisher, Conde Nast, invested $18 million in WeddingChannel to launch a joint marketing program.
The deal calls for WeddingChannel to become the official online wedding site for Bride’s magazine, and for Bride’s to become the official magazine for the Web site. The two also agreed to pursue “mutually beneficial advertising, promotions and other joint marketing programs.”
Bride’s also agreed to provide content for the WeddingChannel’s “Best of Bride’s” area.
WeddingChannel provides wedding-related services such as personalized Web pages, planning tools, e-commerce, gift registry, online travel planning, business directories and fashion information.
