BMG, Holland Are Insert Media Council Roastees

The Direct Marketing Association's Insert Media Council said it will honor BMG Columbia House Inc. and Jeff Holland, vice president of new media development at Singer Direct, at the council's ninth annual “Roast and Toast” holiday luncheon Dec. 7.

The event begins at noon at the Yale Club in New York.

BMG is a music continuity program and insert marketer that launched in the mid-1950s. The club, acquired by Bertelsmann in 1987, has millions of members. BMG offers 100 million package insert and ride-along opportunities yearly. It is not yet known who will accept the honor for BMG.

With 24 years in the insert industry, Holland completed two years as co-chair of the Insert Media Council in October and still serves on the operating committee. Prior to joining Scarsdale, NY-based Singer Direct, Holland worked as national sales manager for the advertising services division of SBC Communications Inc., among other positions. He now specializes almost exclusively in packaged goods accounts.
