Black Box Corp., Pittsburgh, has started mailing a new catalog focused on security products, the company said yesterday.
Black Box markets products, services and technical support for data and voice networks in 141 countries. Its catalog titles include Structured Cabling Solutions, Wired & Wireless and Cabinets & Racks.
The catalog was created in response to increasing sales for security-related products and customer feedback, said Pat Race, marketing director at Black Box.
The new security catalog has 256 pages of products designed to provide both network and physical security. Fifty percent of the merchandise was previously found in the company’s main catalog, which is mailed once a year. New items consist primarily of CCTV and broadband video products as well as network security equipment. The catalog’s initial print run is 100,000. Copies began mailing last week.
A CCTV & Broadband Video section in the new catalog includes security cameras, monitors, DVRs and other video surveillance products. Items intended to limit and control access to and within buildings are found in the Electronic Access & Control section. The Sound & Paging section showcases communication equipment.
