Lindsay Wagner, who portrayed Jaime Sommers on “The Bionic Woman,” has been signed to play celebrity host on a worldwide infomercial promoting Biozhem Cosmoceuticals skin-care products.
Wagner, who starred in the spinoff of the 70s sci-fi series “The Six Million Dollar Man,” is the cornerstone of a marketing campaign for the RevitaCel Skin Care System, Biozhem said. Tests of the long-form spot are scheduled to begin in mid-October, with full rollout planned for November.
The exact channels on which the infomercial will run have not been decided. However, the campaign is targeting primarily a female demographic.
Wagner is an Emmy-winning actress and the author of two books on natural and vegetarian cuisine. She was selected because of the respect she has gained as an actress and as an advocate of natural health lifestyles, said Jim Chapin, Biozhem's board chairman.
Biozhem, San Juan Capistrano, CA, is a developer and marketer of skin care products for women and men.
