Biolase Technology Inc. has expanded its direct-sales force by 50 percent, including the addition of an inhouse telemarketing team, the company said this week.
New salespeople have been trained in recent weeks to market dental technology produced by Biolase, San Clemente, CA, the company said. Also, the new telemarketing crew will recruit dentists — the company’s prospective customers — for seminars about Biolase technology.
The company made the new hires as part of its campaign to increase long- and short-term sales revenues, Biolase said in a statement.
In addition, Biolase has hired Larry Lennon, formerly of Medical Date International’s market and technology information division, to serve as the company’s director of marketing, the company said. Lennon brings 25 years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing.
