Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, will outsource its call center activities by hiring The Beryl Cos. to set up and staff its information and referral services.
Beryl, Bedford, TX, will develop and run a customer interaction center for the hospital. Cedars Sinai formerly handled its call center services inhouse.
Under the contract, Beryl will provide the hospital with 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week customer care service, a first for the medical center. Customers will be able to talk to representatives via phone and online chat.
Consumers who call Cedars Sinai will have access to physician referrals and will be able to register for community education classes. Beryl also will give out information about Cedars Sinai services.
Beryl has provided outsourced call center services for the healthcare industry since 1985.
