Returns management solutions provider Newgistics Inc., said that Benchmark Brands, the largest direct-to-consumer retailer of lower body healthcare and comfort products, has selected its Intelligent Returns Management Suite to simplify merchandise returns.
Founded in 1989, Benchmark Brands, Norcross, GA, distributes through its FootSmart and WalkSmart brands. It sells healthcare products as well as comfort shoes, sandals, slippers, socks and hosiery — all of which, due to sizing issues, can be prone to returns and exchanges.
Newgistics said its SmartLabel solution lets Benchmark Brands’ shoppers save time when sending merchandise back to the retailer by detaching the pre-addressed, bar-coded SmartLabel from their order summary, affixing it to the package, and dropping it off anywhere in the U.S. Postal Service system.
After a rapid and seamless implementation of SmartLabel, Benchmark Brands said it is enjoying immediate results. Customers are able to easily return merchandise without concerns about postage or labeling. In addition, the new level of visibility into the returns process lets Benchmark Brands anticipate workloads.
