BeaverPrints Inc. plans to donate 10 percent from every sale in its American Pride product line to the American Red Cross for the rest of this year.
The product line consists of calendars, business cards and stationery featuring the U.S. flag.
“We have received increased orders … for any of our products featuring the American flag, as the entire country wants to show its patriotism after the horrible terrorist attacks,” said Stephen Kline, president of the Bellwood, PA-based business. “But, it's too early to get a ballpark figure on what the dollar amount might be for our overall donations.”
Kline's firm also will mail a catalog in October offering a variety of theme-oriented printed marketing materials. He said that his company was bracing for the possibility of a tough season because of the economic slowdown combined with the somber national mood following the terrorist attacks.
“We might not see a typical season for orders,” he said. “It sounds like a lot of businesses are going to be cutting back on their advertising dollars.”
