Band Plugs Concerts, CDs With Multimedia Bus

The Dave Matthews Band, RCA Records/BMG, Intel Corp. and MusicToday.com said yesterday they have teamed to launch a multimedia marketing campaign promoting both the band’s current tour and upcoming album.

The tour and campaign will feature the DMB Interactive Tour Bus that will allow the expected 1.5 million fans attending the tour to interact with the band through multimedia computers.

Fans will be asked to register before using the computers. Once they do they can use the multimedia kiosks to preorder a copy of the upcoming album, send e-mail postcards of the band to friends and view a 360-degree camera view of the stage during several concerts. They can also access band interviews, preview new songs, the MusicToday Web site and demonstrations of Intel products.

When not at concert venues the bus will be parked at high-volume traffic centers such as parks, festivals and radio shows.

The campaign will be supported by local radio promotions and radio remotes.
