Attendance Rising for VT/NH Show

With more sessions and popular speakers, the Vermont/New Hampshire Direct Marketing Group's upcoming annual conference is on track to surpass last year's attendance.

“Already, we're at the level we were at last year,” said Judy Glock, the group's chairman for the conference, set for April 26-28. Though attendance doesn't match that of national shows, the conference is a regional draw.

This year's schedule offers four more sessions than last year's event, she said. Also, the sessions will be organized by tracks for the first time, with each session providing content on either multichannel marketing, management and finance or operations.

Ms. Glock cited the quality of the speakers as well. One keynote speaker is Perk Perkins, CEO of The Orvis Co., a Vermont firm celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Others include industry expert Donald R. Libey and representatives from Yahoo and Vermont Country Store.

VT/NH DMG also promoted the conference more heavily this year than previously. And the location is a plus. The show will be in Manchester, VT, at the Equinox resort and spa, consistently ranked as one of the best resorts in the Northeast by magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure.
