AT&T WorldNet Runs Ads On Internet TV

Telecommunications giant AT&T announced Monday a one-year promotions agreement in which Web TV company Internet Broadcasting Systems will leverage its network of local online television channels to promote AT&T’s Internet service.

AT&T WorldNet, New York, will use banner ads and promotional links across the IBS network as part of its local brand-building program. The campaign will begin in five urban markets and will grow nationally as IBS continues its planned expansion for 2000.

AT&T looks to increase its 1.8 million membership with the promotions. IBS, Edina, MN, will receive an undisclosed compensation for the ads and links.
